Hank Estes began his service to the Deer Park School District in 1955. Hank was a teacher at Amity and Deer Park High School for 31 years.
There hasn’t been a sport Hank hasn’t coached: football, basketball, baseball and track at the junior high and high school levels. He was
varsity football head coach (1966 - 1970), varsity basketball coach (1969 - 1971) and varsity baseball head coach.
It was on the baseball diamond that Hank left his mark when he managed the Wildcats to the schools only team State Championship.
In 1977, Deer Park was the Class AA State Baseball Champion. For 19 years he was the Athletic Director and/or Facility Manager.
Hank earned degrees from Xavier University and the University of Louisville. Hank played professional baseball and served in the US Army.
Even in his retirement today, Hank continues to care for CR Piercey Stadium and the baseball field, Estes Field, by making sure the fields are properly lined.
Thank you for your fifty-plus years of service to Deer Park.
